We’ve been busy behind the scenes, and we’re excited to show you what’s new.
The Saint Andrew Bay Quilters’ Guild website has a fresh set of member features designed to do one thing: put everything you need in one place, without a lot of clicking around. No new app to download. No complicated setup. Just log in and it’s there.
Here’s what you’ll find.
One Login, Everything In One Place
You can now create your own member account on the website. Once it’s set up, visit sabqg.org/login, enter your email address and password, and you’re in.
From there you can:
- Update your own contact information — no need to email anyone to fix a typo in your phone number
- See guild news and announcements meant just for members
- Get to member-only pages that aren’t visible to the general public
If you forget your password, there’s a “Forgot Password?” link right on the login page. It emails you a reset link. You don’t have to call anyone.
Your Member Profile
Every member has a profile page. Think of it as your corner of the guild website.
You control what’s there. Add a photo if you’d like. Keep your address and phone number current so newsletters and mailings reach you. Change your password any time.
The best part: when you update your own information, the guild’s records update too. One change, and we all have the right information.
The Member Directory
Ever want to reach a fellow quilter and couldn’t find her number? The member directory is searchable and always up to date.
It’s visible only to logged-in members — never to the public and never to search engines. Your information stays inside the guild.
The Events Calendar
All guild activities now live on one calendar: monthly meetings, workshops, sew days, bee meetings, and quilt show dates.
Click any event to see the full details — time, location, what to bring, and who to contact. You can also add an event straight to your own phone or computer calendar so you get a reminder.
The Document Library
Bylaws. Meeting minutes. Newsletters. Program schedules. Forms.
Everything is filed in one organized library, sorted into folders so you can find what you’re looking for. Click a file to read it on screen or download it to keep.
No more digging through old emails.
Built for Your Phone, Too
The whole site works on a phone or tablet, not just a desktop computer. Buttons are big. Text is easy to read. If you’d rather check the calendar from your recliner than your desk, you can.
Getting Started: Create Your Account
Setting up your account takes about two minutes. Here’s how:
- Go to sabqg.org/register
- Enter your name and the email address the guild has on file for you
- Choose a password you’ll remember — write it down somewhere safe
- Click Register
- Check your email for a confirmation message and click the link inside
Once you’re approved, you can sign in any time at sabqg.org/login.
A quick tip: please use the same email address the guild already has for you. That’s how we match your new account to your membership record. If you’re not sure which one that is, just email us and we’ll check.
Need a Hand?
We know not everyone is comfortable with new technology, and that’s completely fine. Nobody gets left behind.
- Email us: admin@sabqg.org
- Ask at a meeting: we’ll have someone available before and after the monthly meeting to help you set up your account and walk you through the site
- Bring your phone or laptop — we’ll get you registered together
More features are coming, including online forms for the quilt show. We’ll announce those here as soon as they’re ready.
Happy quilting!
